Tilapia “breaded” pan fried fish

I love breaded fish but because we can not have bread, I got creative. This is a simple quick yummy fish recipe.

Servings

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Tilapia fillets
  • 1/2 to 2/3 cups California Almond Flour
  • garlic powder at least 1 teaspoon
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • other spices you can add cajun, mrs, dash whatever you like

Directions

Ttake Tilapia fillets and pat with paper towel. Put egg and water in a wide shallow bowl and beat until mixed. On a large paper plate put dry ingredients togther and mix with a fork.( I get out a second paper plate to put the “breaded” fillets on) Take your fillet and dip in egg/wate rmixture and coat both sides. Put fillet onto Almond flour mixture and coat both sides, remove and set aside onto clean plate. repeat to other fillets. In a preheated (on medium heat) non stick fry pan put your oil and butter. Add your fillets and cook 3 minutes then turn over and cook for another 3 mins. Serve with a small slice of lemon, In the photo I made a coleslaw using a light olive oil mayo, splenda, lemon dressing
